We both grew up in the same area of Upper Michigan, right on the shore of Lake Superior.  While we knew each other in HS, we didn’t really start exploring together until 2022, when we realized we shared the same love of hiking and exploring outdoors.  With Amy in Northeast Wisconsin and Carrie in Kentucky, it takes some planning, but we still find a way to do quite a bit of hiking together.  Sometimes, it’s a trip back “home ” at the same time, driving to each other’s current homes, or traveling to other locations to explore together. 

Over the past 2+ years, we have embarked on many adventures in several states, including multiple 20+ mile day hikes!  This year, we have a 20 mile hike in Indiana planned in June, as well as a week-long trip to Gatlinburg with girl friends in October!  Im sure there will be other adventures in between.

When we are not able to hike together,  we are always each other’s biggest cheerleaders and motivation… and we always find ourselves sending each other  pics from our hikes just because we want the other to see what we found!

We may live 8 hours apart, but that doesn’t stop us from exploring the world together!
